Save Your Printer Ink- Change The Font You Use

As I trudged to the store yesterday to get myself a new cartridge for my printer and fretted over how expensive cartridges have become, I started wondering..is there any way to make my printer cartridge last longer and effectively save me some of those very precious monies.

Some quick research and I came across Ecofont. Ecofont is an ingenious font developed by a company called SPRANQ which claims to use upto 28% less ink and thus make your print cartridge last longer.

"How?", you ask. Well when you use Ecofont, each character that you type has tiny little holes embedded in it. These are so small that they're not discernible easily. You'd need to increase the font to a large size to actual notice these holes. But all these holes means that much less printer ink used. I can see $$ getting saved already. Check put this useful little font - Ecofont

Well for people like me who don't have or don't want to shed out dough for this, I have another solution - use the Century Gothic font that comes pre-installed on almost all our machines.

Century Gothic is actually a thin font so again..minimum ink used. In fact, some studies have proven that Century Gothic is even more economical than Ecofont. The only problem is that a size 10 Century Gothic sentence would occupy more space than a size 10 Times New Roman because the characters are wider. But then you can just decrease the font size. You'd basically be doing a trade-off between paper and ink.

So in the future, switch to Ecofont or Century Gothic, instead of the same old Times New Roman or Arial.
